| Our Chinese New Year celebration was a truly memorable occasion, filled with excitement, cultural appreciation, and a strong sense of togetherness. Students and staff came dressed in bright, colourful traditional attire, transforming the school into a lively sea of red, gold, and other auspicious colours that symbolise happiness, good fortune, and success.
This year’s celebration embraced the Horse Zodiac, representing strength, energy, resilience, and progress. The symbolism of the horse served as a meaningful reminder for our school community to move forward with determination and confidence throughout the academic year. It is our sincere wish that this year brings greater luck, prosperity, and continued success to all members of our school community. A key highlight of the celebration was the series of stage performances presented by our talented students. Both Primary and Secondary students participated enthusiastically, showcasing vibrant dances, songs, and cultural presentations. Through these performances, students demonstrated their understanding of Chinese cultural beliefs and practices, including traditions that emphasise family unity, respect for elders, gratitude, and new beginnings. The celebration was made possible through the close collaboration of the Mandarin Department across both Primary and Secondary levels. Their teamwork, careful planning, and dedication ensured the smooth execution of the event. From coordinating performances to organising programme segments, their collective effort created a seamless and enriching experience for everyone. The Chinese New Year celebration was not only a festive occasion but also an opportunity for students to deepen their appreciation of cultural heritage, strengthen community bonds, and begin the academic year with renewed hope and positivity. |
