Primary Students Visit an Old Folks Home (CSR) Programme

Inspiros International School recently organised a heartwarming Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme that brought together students, teachers, and the wider community in an effort to make a positive difference in the lives of others. On 10 April 2026, our Year 6 students visited St Mary’s Aged Home, where they spent valuable time connecting with elderly residents through games, conversations, and acts of kindness.

The visit was part of Inspiros’ ongoing commitment to nurturing compassionate and socially responsible learners. Throughout the programme, students had the opportunity to engage in meaningful one-on-one interactions with the residents, listening to their stories and sharing joyful moments together. The simple act of spending time with the elderly created a warm and uplifting atmosphere that was appreciated by everyone involved.

Adding to the spirit of giving, our Year 1 and Year 2 students also played an important role by donating goods to support the residents of the aged home. Their contributions reflected the caring values that Inspiros strives to cultivate from an early age. Through this collaborative effort, students across different year levels were united by a shared purpose — showing kindness and making a meaningful impact in the community.

The CSR programme provided students with valuable life lessons beyond the classroom. By participating in the visit, students gained a deeper understanding of empathy, compassion, and the importance of helping others. Many students expressed how meaningful it was to spend time with the elderly and how the experience encouraged them to appreciate and care for people in the community who may need support and companionship.
Teachers also observed that the programme helped students build confidence in communicating with others while developing emotional awareness and social responsibility. The experience reminded students that even small acts of kindness can brighten someone’s day and strengthen community bonds.

For the residents of St Mary’s Aged Home, the visit brought joy, laughter, and a sense of connection. The students’ presence and enthusiasm made the residents feel valued and loved by the community. The interactions created memorable moments for both the students and the elderly residents, highlighting the power of human connection and compassion.

At Inspiros International School, we believe education extends beyond academic achievement. Programmes such as this CSR initiative allow students to grow into caring individuals who understand the importance of contributing positively to society. By encouraging students to serve others and engage with the community, we hope to inspire lifelong values of empathy, respect, and generosity.

The success of this CSR programme reflects the strong partnership between students, teachers, and parents in supporting meaningful community outreach efforts. Inspiros looks forward to continuing similar initiatives in the future as part of our mission to nurture responsible global citizens with kind hearts and a strong sense of social responsibility.

Through acts of service and compassion, Inspiros students continue to demonstrate that even the smallest gestures can create lasting impact and bring people together in meaningful ways.
