On 28 March 2026, the school held its Term 1 Prefect Workshop at Taman Botani Shah Alam. The workshop brought together both primary and secondary prefects for a day of engaging activities aimed at developing leadership skills and strengthening relationships among student leaders.
The programme featured a variety of interactive games designed to build teamwork, communication, patience, and leadership. Prefects worked collaboratively to complete challenges, encouraging one another while learning to take initiative and think critically. These activities provided valuable opportunities for students to practise working effectively in teams.
A key highlight of the workshop was the outdoor challenge segment, where prefects stepped out of their comfort zones by participating in kayaking and the flying fox activity. Although some students were initially hesitant, they showed courage and determination in completing the challenges. With support from peers and teachers, they gained confidence and a strong sense of achievement.
The prefects demonstrated enthusiasm and active participation throughout the day. Their positive attitude and willingness to engage contributed to a supportive and inclusive environment, allowing everyone to feel encouraged and involved.
The workshop concluded with a reflective sharing session. Prefects shared that they had gained a better understanding of teamwork and communication. Many also expressed that the experience helped them build stronger connections, especially as primary and secondary prefects had the opportunity to work together more closely.
Overall, the Term 1 Prefect Workshop was a meaningful and enriching experience. It successfully equipped prefects with essential leadership skills while fostering unity within the team, preparing them to carry out their roles with greater confidence and collaboration throughout the year. |
