Y11 College Tour

Y11 College Tour

On the 21st of March, the Year 11 students visited Heriot-Watt University in Putrajaya as part of their college tours to broaden their views, provide them with career options and give them some perspective into what to expect once they have graduated and are ready to face the outside world.

Upon the arrival of the students, they were briefed about the campus, its surroundings and the courses provided. The students also engaged in a Q&A session to win the university’s official merch – a cute unicorn mascot. After the briefing, the students were split into 2 groups – one for those interested in pursuing the sciences and one for the humanities. They were given a tour of the campus’ facilities, including: a game room, a tennis room, countless meeting rooms and even a 365 room (where students could spend their leisure time).

Shortly after, the students were brought to their respective activity hubs. While the business students engaged in an interactive discussion about “Financial Literacy”, the science students learnt about AI – they even created their very own rock-paper-scissors game!

Following a one-hour lunch break, the students grasped the opportunity to explore the vast campus situated along a captivating lake and park. All in all, it was a memorable and mind-opening experience for the students, allowing them to consider the many post-high school choices available to them. What a great start to many more tours to come!
